Driving Directions:

Enter the address 1030 East Circle Drive, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 in Google Maps and GPS will bring you to the front of the Judy Sturgis Hill building. There is a circle driveway for folks who need to be dropped off.

Parking Recommendations

• Free Parking! We have rented the Ford Staff Lot (located on the north side of E Circle Drive across from Legacy-Sponberg Theatre) for the workshop. Please park in the eastern Staff Lot, not the eastern Ford Commuter Lot (this has not been rented and you will be ticketed).

• Additional parking can be found in the southern guest lot or in the Still Lot (located to the east and southeast of Legacy-Sponberg Theatre).

Hotel Recommendations

Please Note: The workshop dates are the same weekend as the University of Michigan v. Michigan State University home football game, one of the biggest sportsball games of the season. Many hotels in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas will be exorbitantly expensive. We strongly recommend booking a hotel in Belleville, MI (~15 min drive away) for significantly cheaper rates.

Travelling to Ypsilanti

By Airplane

• The local airport is Detroit, MI (DTW)

• Once you have landed at DTW Airport, the Mitten Mayhem workshop is 17.5 miles (~20 mins by car) away.

• You can also take a bus from the DTW Airport to Ann Arbor’s Blake Transit Center via the Michigan Flyer. From Blake Transit Center, take bus lines 3, 4, or 5 to Eastern Michigan University. Total travel time from airport to Eastern Michigan University is ~2hrs.

By Train:

• The local Amtrak train station is Ann Arbor (ARB)

• Once you have arrived at ARB’s Amtrak station, the Mitten Mayhem workshop is 7.8 miles (~20 mins by car) away.

By Local Bus:

• Take any of the following TheRide bus lines Eastern Michigan University: 104, 3, 4, 5

• If you are bussing from Ann Arbor’s Blake Transit Center, take lines 3, 4, or 5
